To maintain your weight, use the following guidelines.


Sedentary women and older adults…around 1500 calories.
Active women, teenage girls and sedentary men…around 2000 calories.
Active men, teenage boys and very active women…around 2500 calories.

If you are trying to lose or gain weight, adjust your calorie intake accordingly.
