Oatmeal Breakfast Bars

1 egg, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups Old Fashioned Oats
1/4 cup sugar       *(see below)   
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup skim milk or water
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup raisins      **(see below)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

   Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Pour into a greased,
    8-in. square baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees F.  for 25 minutes.

   Cut into squares.

   Makes 4 servings

 *(Save 48 Cal. & 13 Carbs by using Splenda instead of   
   granulated sugar)
 **(Try substituting dried cranberries for the raisins)

   Though the Carb count is a little high…except for the sugar, 
    they are healthy carbs.
