TACO BAKE
1 Lb. Lean Ground Beef
1- 1.25 oz. taco seasoning mix
1 cup biscuit mix
1/3 cup water
1 cup (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
Toppings:
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded lettuce
1- 15 oz. can diced tomatoes, drained and rinsed
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Grease an 8x8x2 inch baking dish. Cook ground beef and taco seasoning according to package directions.
In a mixing bowl combine baking mix and cold water. Mix until soft dough forms, spread in prepared baking dish.
Spread beef mixture over dough.
Bake, uncovered, 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Do not over bake.
Sprinkle with cheese and let stand 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Cut into 6 equal pieces and serve with toppings.
